Don't know if this guy is for real. Not many spots for him to make the team either.

Not very big either... but you're right, a surplus at the forward position will make it hard for guys like him and Andrighetto to earn a spot

Andrigetto, Carr, Lehkonen... they'll all fight for the 2 remaining spots on the top 9. Should be interesting!

Assuming he makes the team :

Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Gallagher
Lehkonen, Plekanec, Radulov
Carr, Desharnais, Shaw
Mitchell, Danault, Andrighetto
Byron, Flynn

Also, who is Farnham?

Farnham was on the Devils last season... he's the equivalent of Tom Kostopolous...

I'm not sure Lekhonen belongs on a 2nd line

He and Carr could be 2/3 of a great 3rd line but Deshanais doesn't belong there or anywhere else on this roster

Isn't this the last year of DD contract?

Shaw is pretty decent at FOs btw. If Shaw gets PP time he will score 15-18 for the Habs. He has pretty nifty hands in front of the net on the screen.

Yes sir! If he starts the season in Mtl...
As for Shaw, he'll probably be on the 2nd pp unit, in Gallagher' spot.

It is his last year, still hoping they find a way to move him in a deal but it's very doubtful...

He will. As obie mentions I really can't see anyone trading for him.

Oh no doubt they could... I just think Bergevin has changed so much already that he's gonna wait and see what the results look like before he moves again... but they are still one top 6 winger and 1 top 4 LD away from being real contenders so hopefully he addresses that before too long...

Somebody has to play in that spot (LW) on the 2nd line. It's a kid or Shaw.

Also, Desharnais is in that spot because he is still on the team, like it or not.

I hear ya... just hoping for an upgrade on the left side, I know it's unlikely and just wishful thinking

Sorry, I am not on the Hartnell bandwagon. 34yrs old, signed for 3 more years at 4.75M/yr, NMC. I like the type of player but not his age and contract.
